Independent Distributor Ordering Research
ChaseDesk is investigating the administrative work involved in handling recurring business orders at independent US janitorial and sanitation distributors. We want to understand where staff time goes, how existing systems help, and whether avoidable work remains.
Exploratory research, not a launched software productWhat participation involves
A participating distributor privately chooses a starting point before reviewing orders, then records staff handling time for the next five incoming customer orders, across all ordering channels.
Use your normal process
No installation, integration or meeting is needed to begin. Include routine, fully automated, cancelled and unresolved orders.
Keep a short time log
Record active staff minutes by task, measurement method, and time spent completing the log. Waiting time is not active work.
Share only approved totals
An authorised manager checks the anonymous worksheet before it is shared. The original orders remain with your business.
The worksheet is designed to take under one minute per order to complete. This is a target to be tested, not a guaranteed recording time. Participation is voluntary and may stop at any time.
What information is requested?
Only anonymous measurements
- Order sequence number and incoming channel
- Manual, mixed or automated handling
- Minutes spent on processing tasks and logging
- Broad exception type, order status and measurement quality
Do not send
- Customer or employee identities and contact details
- Original purchase orders, emails or internal order IDs
- Product SKUs, negotiated prices or financial terms
- Any other confidential commercial documents
ChaseDesk will use an authorised anonymous study log to prepare the private research summary. We will confirm how the submitted log is handled and deleted before receiving it. Correspondence with ChaseDesk may contain ordinary business contact information.
What participants receive
A free, confidential process-cost snapshot showing recorded administrative minutes, where staff time was spent, the quality of the measurements and the practicality of logging.
The five-order study does not establish industry averages, reliable annual savings or software return on investment. We cannot promise it will reveal meaningful inefficiency. There is no obligation to buy or adopt software or to take part in a larger study.
Received a research invitation?
Participation is limited to invited distributors. Reply to your original ChaseDesk research invitation to continue, or email us with questions about your invitation. We will provide the one-page guide and short recording sheet before any study begins.
